This Request for Proposal (RFP) is to develop and manage the Community Prevention Initiative (CPI).
The CPI was established to provide comprehensive technical assistance (TA), training, and support for California’s prevention organizations, collaborations and practitioners and to foster a statewide cohesiveness amongst prevention programs and efforts. Its primary role is to identify and synthesize state-of-the-art community prevention evidence-based findings into effective, culturally competent TA and training services that meet the needs of the prevention field. The expected outcomes of these services is the development and implementation of effective community prevention planning and implementation, the integration of Alcohol and Other Drug (AOD) prevention services into the broader prevention service delivery system, and development of the prevention workforce.
The County Monitoring Annual Report is produced at the completion of the monitoring fiscal year to inform state and local administrators on statewide compliance and programmatic issues, and serves as a basis for continuous quality improvement efforts. The data contained in this report is acquired directly from County Alcohol and Other Drug (AOD) Program Administrators and other county staff, and aggregated provides a snapshot of the AOD service system statewide in specific areas.
This is a Request for Proposals (RFP) to develop and promote a statewide public awareness campaign celebrating recovery from alcohol and other drug use. Through a coordinated statewide effort, a “Celebrate Recovery” campaign will be conducted every September, for the term of the contract, to correspond with National Recovery Month. This campaign will provide local communities the opportunity to showcase successful treatment and recovery from the abuse of alcohol and other drugs (AOD).
ADP Bulletin #11-01 regarding the Drug Medi-Cal (DMC) claim process for clients who have Other Health Coverage (OHC) was issued January 13, 2011. This Q&A provides responses to questions raised regarding the processing of Drug Medi-Cal claims for clients who have other health coverage.
ADP’s new Health Care Reform Web site provides information that will prepare the alcohol and other drug field for the federal Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act’s (ACA) impact on California’s substance use disorder (SUD) services. As perhaps the most significant legislation affecting the SUD field, ACA's public and private insurance expansion presents several opportunities to serve new clients with untreated SUDs, increase prevention efforts, improve service quality and health outcomes, and reduce overall health care costs. The ADP Health Care Reform website also includes resources from existing federal, state and credible private organizations covering the ACA.
With respect to workforce development, the California Department of Alcohol and Drug Programs (ADP) has been moving toward procedures to ensure minimum standards of practice for persons in professional careers in substance abuse treatment and prevention. This document introduces ADP’s intentions to support core competencies for prevention.
ADP has established a new toll free number for reporting complaints. Providers are encouraged to update all documents, such as admission agreements, posted signs, personal rights flyers, Web sites, or other means utilized to make the toll free number available. That toll free number is:
