Calendar of Events
If you would like to submit an event to be posted on the ADP Calendar of Events, please use the online Public Affairs Calendar Form.
When we receive your completed form describing your event, we will review it for appropriateness. If approved, your event will be posted on the calendar. Examples of the types of events appropriate for the calendar include alcohol and other drug training conferences, meetings, workshops, and important dates or events relative to the substance use disorder and problem gambling fields (such as Alcohol Awareness Month, Problem Gambling Awareness Week, and Recovery Month activities).
If applicable, you may also include sponsors and website links related to the event in the description. Please provide as much information as possible. Calendars are updated as requested.
When you are planning a conference, meeting, or other event at which you need publications from ADP’s Resource Center, please e-mail the Resource Center with your request no later than two months prior to the event. We need time to print or order what you'll need to ship it to you on time.

Office of Problem Gambling's (OPG) 2012 Problem Gambling Training Summit | The goals of the Office of Problem Gambling's 2012 Problem Gambling Training Summit, "Building a Foundation for Multi-Cultural Problem Gambling Prevention and Treatment Services" are to: expand prevention and treatment knowledge to service providers; disseminate information related to cultural and linguistic appropriate services; provide a better understanding of California's unique gambling industry; and deliver California Problem Gambling Treatment Services Program (CPGTSP) outreach tools. The training summit target audience includes: health care providers, CPGTSP providers, nonprofit organizations, community leaders and organizations, alcohol and other drug agencies, recovery community, gambling industry personnel, governmental leaders, law enforcement personnel and the general public.

DUI Advisory Group | The Driving Under the Influence (DUI) Advisory Group meets to discuss emerging issues and provide information regarding regulatory and policy issues associated with the statewide DUI program. In accordance with Title 9, California Code of Regulations, the Department is required to work with representatives of the county alcohol and drug program administrators, DUI programs, the judiciary, the Department of Motor Vehicles, and other interested parties to maintain quality assurance in the DUI program and to develop ongoing measures of effectiveness.

The Twelfth Annual Behavioral Health Information Management Conference and Exposition | This conference will address the following: needs of mental health, alcohol, and other drug programs through presentations on nationwide developments in IT policies and financial incentives to promote widespread adoption of electronic health record systems; establishing methods of health information exchange among behavioral health, medical and other providers; challenges, solutions, and benefits to implementing electronic health record systems; policy changes impacting privacy and security requirements for mental health, alcohol and other drug programs; case studies of how to use electronic data for decision support and quality improvement programs; and new uses of information and communication technologies to enhance recovery and wellness.

Fifth National Biennial Conference on Adolescents and Adults with Fetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorder - It's a Matter of Justice! | This conference will provide a forum to share research, experience and practice in order to discuss how we can effectively sustain and enhance the lives of adolescents and adults with FASD, their families, service providers, and communities. Are we adequately addressing and supporting the needs and rights of adolescents and adults with FASD within our society? Do individuals with FASD have timely and appropriate access to health care, housing, social services, legal and civil justice and employment? How can we build on the strengths of existing systems to identify and address barriers and move forward to provide effective ethical support? How do we provide focused and targeted approaches across services, and systems to create an integrated and collaborative approach to supporting individuals with FASD? These are the essential elements for social justice and we are just starting to explore and understand what will be required to put these into action.
