If you or someone you know has a problem with alcohol, drugs or gambling, there are services available throughout California to help you get on the road to recovery. Department of Alcohol and Drug Programs – Counselors Licensing and Certification Law
The Department of Alcohol and Drug Programs is sponsoring legislation to create a new alcohol and other drug counselor certification and licensing system. While SB 707 (DeSaulnier) was held in Senate Appropriations Committee last year, we will continue our work with stakeholders and to develop and introduce a bill this year.
ADP Offices Closed on Fridays due to Furloughs
The Department of Alcohol and Drug Programs will be closed on the first three Fridays of each month due to furloughs. Staff will return the following Monday except for holidays. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause you. You may continue to access treatment services online (Alcohol and other Drug Treatment Assistance).
